What the calculator doesn't measure
- Your customers are yours: you have their email and can sell to them again without a middleman.
- You don't compete on price alone: on a marketplace your card sits next to dozens of sellers sorted by price; on your website the customer only sees you.
- Traffic from Google: a well-built store ranks cards, sets and sealed product.
- Your own brand: your store is an asset of your business, not an account on someone else's platform.

FAQ
How much does Cardmarket charge sellers?
Cardmarket charges a fee on each sale that depends on your account type and may change over time. Check the current fee on the Cardmarket website and enter it in the calculator.
Do I have to leave Cardmarket if I open my own store?
No. Most shops keep selling on Cardmarket and use their own website for regular customers, sealed product, preorders and large orders. That is why the calculator lets you choose how much of your sales you would move.
When does an own store pay off?
On fees alone, it pays off once you move several thousand euros a month to your store. But fees are not everything: with your own store the customers are yours, you do not compete on price in the same listing and you can rank on Google.
